n 1202 Henryk Brodaty had a borough built here. In the early 14th century on the site of the borough a duke's castle was raised. In 1326 the castle became a knight's property. It was seized by the townsmen of Wrocław in 1459 while the castle was garrisoned by the Czechs. A palace and a brewery were built on the site of the ruins of the castle.
What has remained of the castle today is a very well preserved moat. To get to the place you should follow the Starowiejska Street.
